As the Wheel of the Year turns towards Samhain, we step into a sacred liminal space where the veil between the worlds grows thin, a time when the realms of the living and the ancestors meet. Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter, is also the Celtic New Year, a powerful moment of endings, beginnings, and transformation.
For thousands of years, Samhain has been a time to honour the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. It is when communities remember those who have passed on, welcoming ancestral spirits with offerings, and embracing the sacred mystery of darkness as a doorway to renewal.
